Everyone knows that a film’s backbone is its script. If the script is no good, there’s a high likelihood the movie won’t be either, regardless of who directs it or stars in it. Screenwriters get to play god each time they put a pen to paper, or hit a key, by creating the worlds and stories we’ll soon be consumed in. In fact, it may be one of the most creative roles in the production pipeline.
