Please fill out the information below. We encourage and appreciate press coverage! We do need to make some things clear:

  1. Please designate ONE person from your affiliation/outlet as the primary contact.

  2. Emailed requests will be directed back to our online form for completion.

  3. Only actively covering, legitimate media will be considered for credentials.

  4. Completion of the form does not guarantee approval for press credentials.

  5. Receiving credentials in prior years does NOT guarantee you credentials the following year. You MUST apply each year you wish to have credentials. In fact, if you received credentials the prior year and DID NOT cover the festival, you will have to wait a festival year to apply again.

  6. DC Black Film Festival reserves the right to deny anyone credentials for any reason.

  7. If approved, you agree to provide two pieces of pre-fest coverage or content in the form of an interview, review or social media posts.

  8. Friday, August 9, 2024 is the deadline for ALL credential applications. Applications received after this date will not be considered for the 2024 festival.
